"Forgiveness is not weakness — it is spiritual freedom."
To forgive is to hand over what was never ours to carry. It is to trust that God's justice is deeper, truer, and more merciful than our own. In forgiveness, we do not excuse the wound — we surrender it.
Lord Jesus, I choose to forgive those who have hurt me. Even when it is difficult, I surrender my pain to You. Heal my heart, and fill it with Your mercy. As You have forgiven me, help me forgive others. Take from me every root of bitterness, every memory that still wounds, every grudge I have carried in silence. In its place, plant Your peace, Your gentleness, and Your love. Make me a vessel of reconciliation, as You were on the Cross.
AmenForgiveness is not only something we offer to others; it is also a mercy we are invited to receive from God. In the Sacrament of Reconciliation, also called Confession, Jesus meets us personally with compassion, truth, and healing grace.
Merciful Jesus, shine Your light into my heart. Help me see what needs to be confessed, what needs to be healed, and what needs to be surrendered to You. Give me courage to approach You in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Let me not be afraid of my weakness, but trust in the greatness of Your mercy. Cleanse me, restore me, and teach me to walk in freedom.
AmenIf it has been a long time since your last Confession, do not be afraid. The Father waits for His children with mercy, not condemnation.
